The tension is over and the winners of the Seedcamp Week 2008 are known. We wish all the winners all the best and look forward to work in the future together with you guys. It was a great experience to be with all the teams, the mentors and the Seedcamp team in London for a very interesting week. For the upcoming mini events and next year’s week, YOOSE will give all it’s possible support for this European entrepreneurship initiative.

Seedcamp Finalist
Saturday, September 20th, 2008Seedcamp Week in London
Thursday, September 18th, 2008
So finally the big week has come and we are since Sunday morning in London for Seedcamp Week. Lots of good advice from a huge crowd of mentors, which helped us to get more focus in our offering. After three days of mentoring with the major topics founders, product, marketing, technical & investment and lots of great panels (my favorite was the investment panel). But also the Atlas networking event on Monday evening was a clear highlight.
Today was showdown for all 22 teams and the pitches due. We kind of volunteered for the first slot at 9am. This did not leave any time to get too nervous and we walked the jury of about 25 investors through our product demo and the execution plan to launch YOOSE. Tomorrow morning at 10am we’ll find out who the five winners are. Meanwhile you can guess and bet at Hubdub who will be amongst the winning teams.
The reason for our early slot was the fact that we are presenting at the TechCrunchTalk our product at the demo table, sponsored by BuzzPal. Thanks to Chris for the offer. Mike Butcher is just finishing up the panel discussion and is opening for drinks now.
Seedcamp interview day
Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008
We’ve been invited to join the Seedcamp interview day in London! 40 teams will present in 10 min slots to the jury. 20 teams will make it then to the Seedcamp week (sept. 15-20). On the way to the airport we discussed the final presentation. On the flight to Luton airport we were travelling together with the team from tickerTXT, who won the Seedcamp day in Berlin and got directly admitted to the interviews, bypassing the application process.
We arrived at the eOffice location in Soho during the lunch-break and could chat with some of the jury members, an opportunity not everyone had, as during the whole day 40+ teams presented and the slots were timed exactly. Our pitch was short and focusing on our vision of the connected wallet and why this makes us different from other mobile marketing providers.
Also we could surprise the jury with a demo of the brand new prototype of our mobile client (in addition to the browser based version which was shown before). During the Q&A we answered questions about our go to market model, the backend platform and application development plans.
After our pitch we were surprised by a sales pitch directed to us from Mandy, the sales executive of the eOffice, offering a Seedcamp promotion for eOffice space in London.
The time before heading back to Luton airport was used together with Alex from Quilp for a 3D-RSS-Feed session close to Oxford street, as you can see below. Now we’re looking forward to receive the feedback from the jury. Stay tuned!
Mini Seedcamp in Paris & Berlin
Friday, June 20th, 2008Being based in Paris & Berlin we had the double opportunity to participate in the Seedcamp mini events. In Paris Christian could present YOOSE during the 5 minute pitches in the morning and we got some good feedback and a good discussion with the two guys from Google, based on the pitch. In the afternoon sessions, the best interaction happened with Philippe Collombel from Partech Ventures.
Only one week later the Seedcamp mini event in Berlin took place. Although we were not able to present a second time, Thomas was able to participate in the coaching sessions and could network with the other participants.
