NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge in Barcelona

This is great news: We are very excited about being selected to move into the final round of judging for the NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge – EMEA (Europe-Middle East-Africa) region in Barcelona in February 2010. Amongst others YOOSE will show the mobile coupon campaign with Nokia Thailand and the YOOSE couponing widget for the Nokia N97.

The NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge is focused on driving the visibility and development of innovative location based solutions for wireless devices. As a finalist we are proud to be chosen for the very final round. The winners will be selected by a panel of distinguished judges: Keep your fingers crossed one more time.

ThirdRunnerUp2009_logoWe’re very excited about the near launch of our mobile coupon platform YOOSE in Germany. On Monday, June 17, 2009, we already started a campaign with DeliFrance in Singapore. This gave us the opportunity to show some first real cases of mobile coupon campaigns at the Navteq LBS Challenge this week in Singapore. Teaming up with Fox Mobile, we had the opportunity to present our service to the jury of one of the most important contests in the mobile industry. “First launched in 2003, the NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge is focused on driving the development and visibility of innovative navigation solutions for wireless devices. The Challenge has become the premier event in the LBS industry and a global symbol of LBS innovation and opportunity.” We’re very proud to say that we have been announced 3rd runner up in this exciting competition. Also, the feedback we received both from the jury as well as observers and other participants of this contest was very vital for the further advancement of our product. Coming back to Berlin with these experiences in our luggage, we’re more than thrilled to observe the very near launch of our service in Germany.

Mobile World Congress Recap

We’re very excited about the near launch of our mobile coupon platform YOOSE. But, until the time has come we want to recapitulate some of the most impressive moments and events of the early developing and promoting stage. Teaming up with Aloqa, we had the opportunity to present our service to the jury of the Navteq LBS Challenge in February this year, at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. “First launched in 2003, the NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge is focused on driving the development and visibility of innovative navigation solutions for wireless devices. The Challenge has become the premier event in the LBS industry and a global symbol of LBS innovation and opportunity.” The feedback we received both from the jury as well as observers and other participants of this contest was very vital for the further advancement of our product. And we’re very much anticipating next year’s MWC to present the first case studies, reports and experiences with respect to putting YOOSE into practice.

Location based coupons become reality

The last weeks have been busy to prepare for the big annual mobile event in Barcelona. The Mobile World Congress (MWC) takes place from Feb 16-19, 2009. YOOSE has teamed up with Aloqa, our provider for location technology, and have submitted the mobile location based coupons 2.0 solution for judging at the Navteq Global LBS Challenge. We were selected for the final judging, which will take place on Feb 15. A day full of presentations to the 13 judges (from BMW, Nokia, BT, Orange, T-Mobile and others) is ahead and we’re ready to show our prototype to them, including a driving demonstration, to get a coupon close to the judging location.

The awards ceremony will take place on Feb 17 and we’re looking forward to be part of it.
