The german magazine for Internet professionals, INTERNET WORLD BUSINESS, is looking for innovative services and business ideas in the Internet space. Well known investors and business angels have proposed about 40 start-ups. Then the editorial staff of INTERNET WORLD business has sent 20 of them into the race for the title „INTERNET WORLD Business Idea 2010“. YOOSE is one of the finalists and everyone can vote on the ideas via the web.
As well as articles and interviews in the printed version of INTERNET WORLD BUSINESS and in the web the nominated start-ups have the chance to present their ideas at the INTERNET WORLD trade show, which takes place on the 13.4&14.4. in Munich.

NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge in Barcelona

This is great news: We are very excited about being selected to move into the final round of judging for the NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge – EMEA (Europe-Middle East-Africa) region in Barcelona in February 2010. Amongst others YOOSE will show the mobile coupon campaign with Nokia Thailand and the YOOSE couponing widget for the Nokia N97.

The NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge is focused on driving the visibility and development of innovative location based solutions for wireless devices. As a finalist we are proud to be chosen for the very final round. The winners will be selected by a panel of distinguished judges: Keep your fingers crossed one more time.

The smaato mobile advertising award is completed and the winners are announced. The main winners are Aloqa, Flirtomatic and Waze. But we got the special prize:

We are proud to be selected as a finalist in the Smaato Mobile Advertising Award. It´s great to know that out of the 235 companies that participated, YOOSE has made it to the final list of mobile websites along with 4 other competitors. We are getting closer to win a trip to the Mobile Congress, a both at the M-Days in Munich and much more. To be in the final list at this important industry award shows us that we are on the right path. Keep your fingers crossed.

The smaato Mobile Advertising Award will honor mobile publishers and developers with an outstanding ad-enabled mobile solution. The categories are: iPhone, in-application or mobile web. YOOSE is participating in the category mobile web, however our iPhone app (planned launch in December) and the in-application coupons could be also part of the competition. The jury is composed of the industry finest experts. Seven leading venture capital companies will meet the winners and smaato will invite the winner to participate for free at the Mobile World Congress 2010 in Barcelona. The list of nominees is long, but we are eagerly awaiting the announcement of the winners. Keep your fingers crossed for us.

YOOSE launches mobile couponing with two radio stations

After an intensive period of development in our platform we are pleased to present to the first version to the public and we look forward to your reactions.

The official launch of YOOSE started on September 30th at 8:50am in Berlin. The radio stations Jam FM and Paradiso airs a radio commercial for two weeks 5 times a day, which points to our first coupon campaign. The radio listener in Germany can send a text message with the word “Play1″ to the shortcode 44044 and get a coupon via SMS for the Play Berlin Wii-Lounge, which includes a link to the mobile coupon page (http://yoose.mobi/jam). Give it a spin, send the SMS, the coupons are live! Here is the link to the radio spot.

Mobile Tagging

Mobile tagging is one of the most fascinating innovations recently. With the help of this location-based technology you have a direct connection between contractor and customer. In 2008, the company Servtag developed a patent-protected system for location-related information services based on mobile “tags”. The advantage of that system is that your mobile phone is able to request and access information immediately without any further entering of search terms. The system, named UISLE, is capable sof determining the location automatically – without any GPS alignment or cell-id procedures.

UISLE is providing detailed localization information even within separate floors or static object. The system proves especially advantageous for tourists or if you’re new in the city. The whole service is designed to remain free of charge for the user. At the beginning of 2009 there was already a pilot project in Berlin, which was very successful. Retailers and costumers liked the service alike. The mentioned system can be combined very well with YOOSE’s services. Using localization, the customers can get specific coupons which will be accepted in the surrounding shops.

At the same we’re aiming to provide valuable ideas and initiatives for the Mobile market in this area. The role of the Singapore Mobile Alliance is to provide an umbrella platform that will support the growth of the Mobile Software and Applications Industry in Singapore and raise the overall profile and branding of Singapore as an innovative and world-class Mobile Centre of Excellence.
